SAN ANTONIO – Two adults were shot in a drive-by shooting while sleeping in their home on the city’s Northwest side.
The shooting happened around midnight near Waverly Ave.
According to police, two adults were asleep in their home when a vehicle pulled up and opened fire directly towards their bedroom. A 41-year-old woman was struck once in the face and a 45-year-old man was shot in the arm. Both victims were transported to the hospital in stable condition. There were also three juveniles inside the home at the time, but none of them were injured by the gunfire.
The suspect(s) fled the scene in a vehicle after the shooting.
Police have stated that the juveniles will be placed with family members while the adults recover from their injuries. No other injuries were reported.
Police say the motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
