CHATHAM, NY (WRGB) — Two dozen third-prize-winning Powerball tickets were sold in New York, including one in the Capital Region.
The New York State lottery announced the winners on Sunday morning following the drawing on September 6th.
One of the tickets was sold at the Stewart’s Shops at 30 Church Street in Chatham; the ticket was worth $50,000.
Other tickets won were sold in Alexandria Bay, Armonk, Bronx, Brooklyn, Grand Island, Jamaica, Manhattan, North Babylon, Plattsburgh, Poughkeepsie, Seaford, Suffern, Valley Cottage, Valley Stream, Warwick, Waterville, and Yonkers.
All the tickets were worth $50,000. The winning numbers for the Powerball game are drawn from a field of one to 69. The red Power Ball is drawn from a separate field of one to 26. The Powerball drawing is televised every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m.
