Two former Lady Vols competed in the WNBA on Friday.
Los Angeles (16-17) defeated Dallas (9-25), 97-96, at College Park Center in Arlington, Texas.
Rookie and 2025 WNBA draft No. 1 overall pick Paige Bueckers led all scorers with 29 points for the Wings.
Rickea Jackson started and played 35 minutes for the Sparks. She totaled 15 points, five rebounds, two assists and one steal. Jackson converted 5-of-17 field goal attempts, 3-of-7 three-point attempts and 2-of-2 free throw attempts.
The former Lady Vol is in her second professional season after being selected in the first round of the 2024 WNBA draft (No. 4 overall) by the Sparks.Rae Burrell also recorded four points, three rebounds, one assist and two steals for the Sparks. She converted 2-of-7 field goal attempts.
Burrell played for the Lady Vols from 2018-22 and was selected by Los Angeles in the first round (No. 9 overall) of the 2022 WNBA draft.
Los Angeles will next play on Sunday at Washington. Tipoff is slated for 3 p.m. EDT at CareFirst Arena in Washington, D.C.
