Rochester, N.Y. — Two teenagers were hospitalized—one with life-threatening injuries—following a shooting Saturday night on Lake Avenue near Charlotte.
Rochester police responded to the area around 11:45 p.m. for the report of at least one person shot.
Upon arrival, officers found a 16-year-old Rochester boy with at least one gunshot wound to his upper body.
He was transported to a local hospital, where he is being treated for life-threatening injuries, according to police.
Additionally, a 16-year-old Rochester girl was taken by private vehicle to a local hospital.
She suffered at least one gunshot wound to the upper body, but her injuries are considered non-life-threatening.
Both victims were at the same location when they were injured.
The circumstances leading up to the shooting remain under investigation.
