Tresean Gore is putting his past habits behind him amid a sensational comeback win at UFC Vegas 115.

Gore had a tall task in front of him when he shared the Octagon with Azamat Bekoev this past Saturday. While Bekoev got off to a strong start, it was Gore who was able to turn the tables. In the third round, “Mr. Vicious” was able to lock in a guillotine choke for the come-from-behind submission finish.

Gore spoke to reporters following the stellar finish, and he gave an honest self-reflection. The 31-year-old middleweight admitted that he felt past weed use was holding him back, and he’s been able to move past it.

“I know I’ve put on [expletive] performances, but that was hot head Tre,” Gore said. “That was Tre smoking weed the week of the fight. This is Tre that has been sober now for five months. I am done. I am not living that life no more. I’ve been smoking since I was 17 trying to escape my reality. I’m done with that now.”

Gore has now snapped a two-fight skid to earn his third victory under the UFC banner. All three wins have come via guillotine choke. This was Gore’s first victory since Nov. 2024.

Gore also made it clear that he has heard from his share of naysayers, and he’s ready to silence all of them.

“I want to be champion of the world,” Gore continued. “I’m tired of [expletive] talking about it. I’m tired of telling y’all what I’m going to do. I’m tired of all the trolls telling me what the [expletive] I can’t do. So, I’m going to overcome. I’m going to build a name for myself, and I’m here to stay.”
