In honor of the grand opening of the Univision store in Terminal A of the San Antonio International Airport, SA Airport held a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 2 p.m. on Dec. 11.

The details

Located between gates A13 and A15, the Univision store offers travel essentials, including snacks, drinks, reading materials, pens and medicine, as well as specialty items like San Antonio-themed t-shirts and magnets. Additionally, the store is designed to reflect the largest Spanish-language media company in the U.S.

Daniel Alegre, CEO of TelevisaUnivision, expressed excitement to be opening the ninth Univision store in the city where Univision began.

“I’m very excited to be here, where Univision all started 70 years ago,” Alegre said. “[In] 1955, Raul Cortez had the incredible vision of creating a station in Spanish for the Spanish community…now, 70 years later, we are the largest Spanish media company in the world. But despite our international presence, we’re about being locally relevant, starting from a Univision store here in the great San Antonio airport.”
