The Edmonton Oilers and Florida Panthers will play for the Stanley Cup for a second straight season.
Connor McDavid and the Oilers advanced to a second straight Cup Final on Thursday night with a 6-3 conference final-clinching Game 5 road win over the Dallas Stars.
The Panthers already advanced by closing out the Eastern Conference Final in five games against the Carolina Hurricanes.

Last June, the Panthers opened the series with two straight victories at home as the series began in Sunrise.
The Oilers will hope to make similar use of home-ice advantage as the final series begins this summer in Edmonton.
The last two teams to meet in consecutive Cup Finals were the Detroit Red Wings and Pittsburgh Penguins, who played for the Cup in both 2008 and 2009.
Henrik Zetterberg and the Red Wings lifted the Cup in 2008 before Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins earned redemption in 2009.
Prior to that, the last championship rematch took place between the Oilers and the New York Islanders in 1983 and 1984. The Isles claimed the first of that set before Wayne Gretzky and the Oilers triumphed one year later.
McDavid, who on Thursday night became the second-fastest player to Gretzky to record 100 career playoff assists, will now look to lead the 2024-25 Oilers on a similar redemption arc in this summer’s rematch.
