The Denver Broncos have released an updated depth chart ahead of their Week 5 clash with the Philadelphia Eagles, but there are no notable changes.

On the defensive line, the backup spot behind D.J. Jones remains blank, but that might change if Malcolm Roach returns from injured reserve this week. Behind the three starters, Eyioma Uwazurike played 17 snaps and rookie Sai’vion Jones played six snaps as rotational defensive linemen in Week 4.

Fans should note that while this depth chart comes straight from the team, the Broncos still call it an “unofficial” depth chart, so it should be taken with a grain of salt. For the most part, though, it’s probably close to how coach Sean Payton stacks up each position.

Quarterback (3)

Bo Nix enters Year 2 looking to build on his promising rookie season.

Running back (4)

Denver also has Deuce Vaughn available on the practice squad.

Tight end/fullback (5)

Fullback Adam Prentice was promoted to the active roster ahead of Week 4.

Wide receiver (5)

Sutton (69) and Franklin (47) continue to lead the wide receiver snaps with Mims (32), Bryant (27) and Sherfield (22) rotating in behind them.

Offensive line (9)

  • LT: Garett Bolles, Matt Peart
  • LG: Ben Powers, Alex Palczewski
  • C: Luke Wattenberg, Alex Forsyth
  • RG: Quinn Meinerz, Alex Palczewski
  • RT: Mike McGlinchey, Frank Crum

Palczewski serves as an extra sixth offensive lineman in the team’s “jumbo” formations. He’s officially designated as a tight end and an eligible receiver in those situations, but he’s brought in as an extra blocker.

Defensive line (6)

  • DE: Zach Allen, Jordan Jackson
  • DT: D.J. Jones
  • DE: John Franklin-Myers, Eyioma Uwazurike, Sai’vion Jones

Jackson was a healthy scratch last week as Sai’vion Jones made his NFL debut.

Outside linebacker (5)

Robinson has been a healthy scratch for the team’s first four games, which is more of a reflection of the Broncos’ impressive OLB depth than any kind of indictment on Robinson.

Inside linebacker (3)

After placing Dre Greenlaw on injured reserve, the Broncos now officially list Justin Strnad as a starter next to Alex Singleton. Garret Wallow has been elevated from the practice squad to the game-day roster for each of the last three games.

Cornerback (5)

Surtain (48) and Moss (48) continue to play all the defensive snaps at the outside cornerback spots. McMillian (39) remains the nickelback with Barron (21) getting rotational snaps in the secondary.

Safety (5)

Key (20), Skinner (19) and Locke (15) only played snaps on special teams last week.

Special teams (3)

  • K: Wil Lutz
  • P: Jeremy Crawshaw
  • LS: Mitchell Fraboni
  • KR: Marvin Mims, Jaleel McLaughlin, Tyler Badie
  • PR: Marvin Mims, Riley Moss

It’s silly that Harvey still isn’t listed as a returner because he’s clearly the No. 2 option behind Mims on kickoffs, and he returned two kickoffs for 58 yards in Week 4.
