The Florida State Seminoles will play a former wide receiver next season as Vandrevius Jacobs has committed to the Miami Hurricanes, according to On3’s Hayes Fawcett.

Jacobs spent the past two seasons with the South Carolina Gamecocks and will have two seasons of eligibility with the Hurricanes. He played in five games as a true freshman at FSU in 2023, recording three receptions for 60 yards and a touchdown. The Vero Beach, Florida, earned a redshirt since his fifth appearance was in FSU’s bowl game, which does not count towards a player’s eligibility.

The 6-foot, 175-pounder was in and out of the starting lineup for South Carolina in 2025, playing in 12 games and making six starts. He had the best year of his career, leading them in receptions (32) and ranking second in yards (548) and touchdowns (4).

He is ranked as the No. 75 overall player and No. 19 wide receiver in the transfer portal by 247Sports. He will give them a proven No. 2 wide receiver behind star freshman Malachi Toney.
