VICTORIA, Texas — The Victoria community is mourning the loss of a well‑known and respected doctor who colleagues say made a lasting impact through years of compassionate care.

Dr. Thomas Carter was killed in a head‑on crash involving a UPS truck near San Antonio. Many patients described Carter as more than a physician. They described him as a trusted friend who dedicated his career to serving the community.

Those who worked alongside Carter said his commitment to patients and his kindness will not be forgotten.

To honor his memory, a celebration‑of‑life table will be set up at Victoria Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery next week. Community members are invited to stop by Tuesday through Friday to leave notes and remembrances.
