Club América sufrió una dura derrota 4-1 ante Tigres UANL el sábado 28 de febrero en el Estadio Ciudad de los Deportes, en duelo correspondiente a la jornada 8 del torneo Clausura de la Liga MX.

Boletos: América vs. Philadelphia Union en el Subaru Park

Brian Rodríguez marcó el único gol del América al minuto 69. Sin embargo, Tigres impuso condiciones desde temprano y aseguró el triunfo con goles de Juan Brunetta, quien anotó de penal al minuto 4 y volvió a marcar al 90+1, además de tantos de Jesús Angulo al 23 y Ángel Correa al 70.

El conjunto azulcrema terminó el partido con 10 hombres tras la expulsión de Vinicius Moreira de Lima al minuto 87.

A pesar del resultado, América registró más disparos que su rival, 9-7, y mayor posesión del balón, 59% frente a 41%. También cometió menos faltas que Tigres, 12 contra 14.

Con la derrota, América se ubica en el octavo lugar de la tabla del Clausura con marca de tres victorias, dos empates y tres derrotas.

El equipo capitalino disputará dos encuentros más en la Liga MX antes de viajar a Estados Unidos para enfrentar al Philadelphia Union en Subaru Park.

América recibirá a Juárez el 4 de marzo a las 10 p.m., y posteriormente visitará a Querétaro el 8 de marzo a las 7 p.m., antes de medirse al conjunto de Filadelfia.
