The Virgin Valley High School VVettes brought their school spirit to Salt Lake City on Saturday, Aug. 15, performing during halftime at a Real Salt Lake soccer game.
The VVETTES performed a routine they learned at Epic Dance Camp at the Real Salt Lake soccer halftime show on Saturday, Aug 15.
The VVettes joined approximately 400 dancers from schools throughout the region for the high-energy performance. The dancers learned the routine during Epic Dance Camp in June and were later invited to perform it together at the game.
The VVettes proudly represented Virgin Valley High School in green, while dancers from the other participating schools wore shirts featuring their own school colors. Together, they filled the field with movement, color and energy, delivering an exciting halftime performance for the crowd.
The VVettes traveled to Salt Lake City on Saturday morning, then attended an afternoon rehearsal before taking the field that evening. The dancers stayed overnight and returned home Sunday morning.
The Pom routine performance completed an especially busy weekend for the VVettes, who had also danced at Virgin Valley High School’s first home football game, Friday night.
Head Coach Erica Garrett said, “I want to personally thank the parents who helped drive the girls to Salt Lake City and made it possible for them to participate in the memorable opportunity.”
From cheering on the Virgin Valley Bulldogs beneath the Friday night lights to performing in front of a professional soccer crowd Saturday evening, the VVettes enjoyed a weekend filled with dancing, school pride and lasting memories in the first week of their season.
