The Wake County school board will take a closer look at screen time use inside the classroom on Tuesday.

A new survey shows that many teachers feel they are competing with laptops and other devices for students’ attention.

The survey found that high school students spend up to 90 minutes per school day on their devices.

The average high school student spends 39 minutes per school day on YouTube.

Students and school leaders will meet Tuesday to discuss the survey results.
