Nationals aim for second straight series win in rubber game against the Mets
A day after bouncing back from a shutout loss to post a 12-run win, the Washington Nationals wrap up their six-game road trip on Thursday afternoon as they take on the New York Mets in the series finale between the National League East Division foes. The Mets have slumped their way through April, losing 16 of their last 19 games, but are one win away from their second home series win in the last week and a half. The Mets will start veteran right-hander Freddy Peralta (1-3, 3.90 ERA) looking to snap a three-start losing skid, while the Nationals will counter with righty Miles Mikolas (0-3, 8.49 ERA) in search of his first win after joining Washington as a free agent back in February.
