ATLANTA โ You’ve probably heard this question by now: “Where them fans at?”
It’s a line from the popular “Boots on the Ground” song that has taken the internet by storm, with people posting videos dancing along to the hit. And now — the Atlanta Police Department is doing the same thing.ย
In an Instagram post,ย APD shared a new recruiting video that featured the music, letting folks know the department is hiring.
“The Atlanta Police Department just dropped the hardest video in the game โ and YES, the streets are talking! ๐ข๐ฅ,” the Instagram post said. “This ain’t just about law and order โ it’s about culture, community, and catching a vibe. ๐๐พ๐ฎ๐ฝโโ๏ธ๐บ๐ฟ”
The officers vibe to the song in their cowboy hats and with fans in their hands labeled “Join ATL PD” or “We are hiring.”
After only being posted on social media a few hours, people are already responding to the video. Even Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens added a comment, saying, “Yall are a trip! ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ.”
You also might notice the beginning of the video mimics rapper Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” hit before they transition into the “Boots on the Ground” song. The message is for people to visit the police department’s website to apply to join the team.
“Wanna rock the badge AND the beat? We’re not just steppingโwe’re LEADING. ๐ช๐ฝ ATL, we’re HIRING,” the Instagram post said. “Go to joinAtlantaPD.org for more information and to apply today!”
