SAN ANTONIO — As we say goodbye to the month of June and begin Fourth of July preparations, don’t miss out on all the fun happening around San Antonio.

Here are our top picks for things happening this weekend, June 28-30.

Pride Bigger Than Texas Festival

Likely the biggest event happening this weekend will be the Pride Bigger Than Texas Festival. The official San Antonio Pride celebration will have food, entertainment, PRIDE weddings, Texas wrestling, a health fair and more.

The festival will be followed by a free night-time Pride parade.

When: Saturday; festival runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., parade starts at 9 p.m.

Where: Crockett Park (1300 N. Main Ave.)

Calling all Swifties!

Taylor Swift may have passed over San Antonio on her historic Eras Tour, but “the ultimate tribute” to the pop superstar’s music is coming to the Tobin this weekend. “Let’s Sing Taylor: A Live Band Experience” encourages local Swifties to show up in their best Taylor-ttire for a live show celebrating her biggest hits.

While not as massive as an Eras Tour concert, the show is one of the next-best things for San Antonio Swift fans hoping to commune and rock out to her music—all while saving hundreds on tickets.

Where: H-E-B Performance Hall at the Tobin Center (100 Auditorium Circle)

Cost: Tickets start at $25 and can be purchased here.

Learn about a civil rights trailblazer

The Mexican American Civil Rights Institute, or MACRI, is hosting a new exhibition focused on the achievements of Alonso S. Perales, the Texas native who founded the League of United Latin American Citizens and later served in the Eisenhower administration.

The lineup includes a panel and reception, as well as an early look at the exhibit, Saturday afternoon. Among the featured guests will be Cynthia E. Orozco, whose new book “Pioneer of Mexican-American Civil Rights” tells Perales’ story in “his first comprehensive biography.”

When: Saturday; panel and reception from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Bazan Library (2200 W. Commerce Street), exhibit preview from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the MACRI Visitor Center (2123 Buena Vista Street).

Cost: Free. You can RSVP here.

Summer Block Party

Attendees will be able to enjoy free food, ice-cold drinks, live music, prizes and giveaways.

When: Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

2nd Annual Disco Cowgirl pop-up party

Dust off your boots and dive into a disco fantasy for the 2nd Annual Disco Cowgirl happening this Saturday at the Brick at Blue Star.

The event promises an evening of shopping from over 30 pop-up vendors, cocktails and photo opportunities on this night.

When: Saturday, from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Where: Brick (108 Blue Star)

Cost: Tickets cost $8 online and $10 at the door. You can purchase your ticket here.

Plus…

Tianguis of Pueblos Magicos is happening all weekend at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center. The free event is an immersive cultural experience, showcasing the heritage and identity of Mexico. Finally, catch emerging country music band the Red Clay Strays at the Boeing Center at Tech Port on Friday at 8 p.m.
