The Denver Broncos have a strong draft class and undrafted free agents of around 18 rookies. We’ll get are first real look of them up against seasoned veterans here in a few weeks when Broncos training camp kicks off. While most will be competing for practice squad spots, there will be a handful of guys who will potentially challenge for starter positions.
Of all of the rookies, there is one that I don’t think will unseat one of the two starters ahead of him, but I am hopeful he’ll make enough waves in camp that he’ll get both gameday reps and secure the third spot on the depth chart. That player is tight end Justin Joly.

A few days ago, Christopher Hart shared his top Broncos training camp battles at ILB, Safety, and Guard and I wanted to add one more to that list in tight end.
While I don’t expect Joly to unseat either Adam Trautman or Evan Engram, a strong camp from the rookie could change up the depth chart behind those two. He will be competing with Nate Adkins, Lucas Krull, Caleb Lohner and others for that position? Can he pull it off? I sure hope so!
Which rookie are most excited about heading into training camp?
