ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – A woman was taken to the hospital after she was shot in Downtown Atlanta early Sunday morning.
The shooting took place around 3:30 a.m. near the intersection of Courtland Street and Andrew Young International Boulevard, in the Peachtree Center district. Officers said a 20-year-old woman was shot in her right foot.
Atlanta Police say the woman was taken to Grady Hospital and is “alert, conscious and breathing.”
Details surrounding what led up to the shooting or who might be involved are not being released at this time.
