PROVIDENCE, R.I.– The Providence College women’s hockey team was defeated by Boston University, 3-2, on Saturday, Nov. 2 at Schneider Arena in Providence, R.I. The Friars dropped to 5-5-0 on the season and 2-4-0 in Hockey East play, while Boston University improved to 8-3-0 overall and 6-1-0 in Hockey East. Hope Walinski (Lincoln, R.I.) made 20 saves in net for the Friars.

GAME FLOW & NOTES
-The Terriers opened the scoring 6:32 into the first period on a power-play goal by Clara Yuhn, assisted by Christina Vote and Lindsay Bochna.
–Audrey Knapp (Stevens Point, Wis.) tied the game on a power play for the Friars at 10:49 in the second period, assisted by Cristina Cavaliere (Mississauga, Ontario) and Ashley Clark (North Weymouth, Mass.). It’s marked Knapp’s team-best fifth goal of the season.
-With 1:49 left in the second period, Luisa Welcke put the Terriers back in the lead (2-1), tipping in a shot from Bochna after a faceoff win by Lilli Welcke.
-Welcke added her second goal of the game on an empty-netter with 1:15 left in regulation (3-1). Welcke picked up her second assist of the game on the goal.
-With 28 seconds left, the Friars’ Dylan Berman (Deephaven, Minn.) scored during a scramble in front of the net to cut the deficit to 3-2. Kiara Kraft (Churchville, N.Y.) and Jessie Pellerin (Bowmanville, Ont.) earned assists.
-Walinski made 20 saves for the Friars.
