INDICATE ALL THE SCATTERED SHELL CASINGS AFTER MULTIPLE SHOTS WERE FIRED AND FIVE YOUNG PEOPLE WERE HIT. ALL THE INJURIES ARE NON-LIFE THREATENING. THIS WOMAN SAYS HER 21 YEAR OLD SON AND 11 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER ARE RECOVERING FROM GUNSHOT WOUNDS. 11-year-old child among 5 shot in Boston’s Dorchester neighborhood, police say
An 11-year-old child is one of five people who suffered what Boston police said were non-life-threatening injuries in a shooting Wednesday night in the city’s Dorchester neighborhood. The shooting happened just before 10 p.m. at 10 Greenwood St. during a party.”It was my sons, my triplets, 21st birthday. We decided to give them a little party in the back — a gathering, not even a party — and, the next thing we know, it sounded like firecrackers, and it was gunshots, and two of my children were hit,” the mother of two victims said. A 21-year-old man, a 20-year-old man, a 21-year-old woman, and a 20-year-old woman are also among the victims, police said.”So I was going back out the door, but as I was going back out the door, my 11-year-old was coming through the door, and she was holding her leg, and she was hit, and then one of the friends, he was coming behind her, and he also was hit,” the victims’ mother, who declined to give her name, said.Video from the scene showed crime tape blocking off multiple streets in the area. Evidence markers were scattered around a tree in the yard of a home at the corner of Ellington Street. Officers said they also found a vehicle with ballistic damage near Washington Street. The shooting took place in a residential neighborhood off Washington Street and adjacent to the Fairmount MBTA Commuter Rail line tracks. “Whoever did this, and whoever you’re looking for, you got the wrong person, and trust me – you’re going to be dealt with. That’s what I am going to tell you.
