$2M settlement approved by Atlanta City Council

Two Atlanta university college students who were arrested by police during protests in the summer of 2020 have now received a $2 million settlement. The Atlanta City Council approved the settlement late this afternoon on a 13-1 vote. The arrests of the students, from Morehouse and Spelman colleges, grabbed national headlines and lead to the arrest of six police officers.
