A motorcyclist is in custody after a high-speed chase that spanned multiple Southern California freeways late Friday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The pursuit began around 10:40 p.m. near the Wilmington Avenue exit of the 91 Freeway, according to CHP.
The rider was wanted for speeding.
The rider drove at more than 100 mph. NewsChopper4 saw him reach up to 134 mph as he drove through various freeways through the San Fernando and San Gabriel valleys.
CHP said the pursuit started in Wilmington on the 91 Freeway, continued northbound on the 405 Freeway, then eastbound on the 101 Freeway, and finally transitioned to the Ventura Freeway before continuing on the 134 Freeway.
The chase ended in Pasadena when the rider ditched the motorcycle in a parking structure at an apartment building near Sierra Madre Villa Avenue and East Foothill Boulevard.
Authorities said the rider was taken into custody.
No additional details were released.
