As thousands of fans gathered in New York City on Thursday to celebrate the Knicks’ historic championship win with a parade, the community jumped into action to help an unresponsive man who had climbed onto the slanted roof of an elevator. One of those Good Samaritans was Simone Kelly, a volunteer EMT who quickly climbed up to diagnose the man and administer a life-saving dose of Narcan. She tells CBS News’ Jared Ochacher that seeing New Yorkers band together to help this man created “a different sense of pride in the city that it’s been a while since we’ve had.”
