The roughly 40,000-square-foot venue is the largest Dave & Buster’s location in North Texas, York said. A ribbon cutting for the location is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. July 27, prior to doors opening at 10 a.m., and the first 100 guests will get free all-day gameplay, he said.
Dave & Buster’s locations offer arcade games, as well as a food and drink menu featuring chicken wings, burgers, cocktails and more, according to its website. The venue also offers screens showing sports including NFL games, UFC matches and other major sporting events, as well as spaces for events including birthday parties and corporate gatherings.
Construction cost for the McKinney location is estimated at about $8.1 million, according to a Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filing. The business is part of the second phase of the Plaza at Fort Buckner development, a project by development firm the Seitz Group that includes businesses such as Torchy’s Tacos, Frost Bank, Piada and more.
