The results are in, and the 2026 MLB All-Star starters, pitchers and reserves have been revealed. Despite early vote totals pointing toward a potential World Series rematch between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Toronto Blue Jays among the starters, that will not be the case.
Instead, the starting lineup is a mixture of first-time All-Stars and returning fan-favorites, including Mike Trout, who is an All-Star for the first time since 2023, as well as Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Brandon Marsh, who will be making his first All-Star appearance.
Here’s how the lineups will look, barring changes, on July 14 at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.

“It’s always a lot of gratitude for me,” National League starter Juan Soto said. “I just fell short last year. Definitely, it kind of just motivated me. I gotta be better. I gotta be better to be with the best of the best in the league. Definitely this year, I came in with a different mentality, and thank God I made it.”
The American League and National League teams will be managed by John Schneider and Dave Roberts, respectively, the skippers of last year’s World Series clubs.

As part of the Fourth of July announcement, MLB also revealed its list of reserves. Of note, Bryce Harper is a “Legend” pick, meaning he was selected by commissioner Rob Manfred to be included in the All-Star festivities. Last year, that honor went to Clayton Kershaw, who retired at the end of the season.

Pitchers and reserves are decided by player ballots, as well as by the commissioner’s office. Player ballots determine 17 players for each league (eight pitchers, five starters and three relievers) and backup players for each position. MLB decides the remaining six players (four pitchers and two position players) and ensures that every team has at least one representative.

As far as the selected pitchers, the NL side is a hodgepodge of the Cy Young Award race, with the likes of Jacob Misiorowski, Cristopher Sánchez and Chris Sale all selected. Paul Skenes, despite his 3.62 ERA, was also named to the team. Notably absent: Phillies veteran Zack Wheeler.

With 10 days between now and the All-Star Game, expect these rosters to experience some turnover. For instance, Misiorowski is unlikely to pitch, thus opening up a spot for another pitcher, and Aaron Judge remains on the injured list.
