The 2026 World Cup third-place game should be a great matchup.
Before the tournament final match on Sunday between Spain and Argentina, fans will get a treat in Miami. It’s Kylian Mbappé and France versus Harry Kane and England for third place.
Whoever wins the matchup walks away with a bronze medal and $29 million in prize money. A win by either France or England could also impact the nation’s world ranking and qualifying draw for the 2030 World Cup. The fourth-place finisher won’t walk away empty-handed. That country will receive about $27 million in winnings.
Mbappé also has a chance to win the Golden Boot race. He currently has eight goals, tied for first with Lionel Messi. Kane and teammate Jude Bellingham are not far behind with six goals. There should be goals aplenty in South Beach.
