Vio Med Spa, a physician-guided medical spa franchise specializing in aesthetic and wellness treatments, will be opening a Queen Creek venue at the Switchyard later this month.
Owners Cynthia and Jeff Ballantyne will open the practice Nov. 11 at 21789 South Ellsworth Loop Road, Building C, Suite 102.
Founded in 2017, the Tennessee-based medical spa franchise is marking its entry into Arizona, adding to 65 locations across 20 states.
A local team of nurse practitioner injectors, estheticians and a spa manager will lead daily operations at the Queen Creek venue.
It will feature a menu of injectables, skin rejuvenation, laser treatments and facials, and will feature the brand’s new hospitality-inspired store design and ClubVIO membership model.
Ryan Rao, chief development officer at VIO Med Spa said, “We see the Phoenix metro area as a market where we can build a substantial presence, and that starts with owners who know how to build and lead businesses. These owners bring that experience.”
Cynthia Ballantyne previously served as west region managing director for Alera Group, overseeing a region with $215 million in revenue and 700 employees.
She continues her independent consulting practice in the employee benefits and risk management industry, helping firms strengthen operations, develop leadership teams and execute growth strategies.
Jeff has over 30 years’ experience in franchise ownership.
“Cynthia and Jeff will provide strategic direction and ownership oversight, with this team-led operating structure allowing Cynthia to maintain her consulting commitments,” the company said in a release.
“Throughout my career, I’ve focused on building strong teams, improving the client experience and helping businesses grow,” said Cynthia. “We understand the value of putting the right people and systems in place. We’ve built a dedicated local team to lead daily operations, supported by VIO’s training, clinical infrastructure, and operational resources.
