ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) – Due to a critical need for blood donations, the Rock River Valley Blood Center is trying a new approach with its Bleed for Weed Mobile Blood Drive.
Through a blood drive with Lyfe Cannabis Dispensary, every donor will get a 1/8th of marijuana or a 100 mg edible. The first 50 donors will also receive a free t-shirt.
The event will be from noon to 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, at the Lyfe Cannabis Dispensary, 6774 Troy Drive, Rockford.
Walk-ins are welcome, but people can make an appointment by going on the blood center’s website, calling 815-965-8751 or using the myRRVBC app.
