Thanks to the Mercado on Fifth organization for hosting the 2024 “Mr. Thanksgiving” dinner. Mercado on Fifth originated to showcase the Hispanic culture in the Quad Cities with opportunities for minority entrepreneurs and cultural events open to all.
Thanksgiving in North America dates back to at least 1578 according to the Smithsonian Institution. This event is a celebration of the harvest and community for all people. Kudos to the Mercado organization for opening their facility to the community for this important celebration of our common interests and humanity.
