NFL Week 10 officially marks our step over the regular season’s halfway mark. We’re back overseas with a Berlin game on Sunday morning, plus we have six divisional matchups, and the marquee game of the week should (emphasis on should) be Monday night’s matchup, Philadelphia Eagles at Green Bay Packers.
But you never truly know where the marquee action will happen each week. Week 9 had some real surprises. The Kansas City Chiefs losing to the Buffalo Bills may have surprised oddsmakers, but not any of us who have been acquainted with Buffalo’s regular-season dominance over the Chiefs just to be eliminated in postseason play.
But was the Detroit Lions’ loss to the Minnesota Vikings just a classic divisional trap game, or should we see warning signs? Or what about the Pittsburgh Steelers’ win over the Indianapolis Colts? Finally, the surprise juggernaut showing cracks over the length of the season? Are the Colts not as good as we thought? Are the Steelers better? Was it just “any given Sunday” rules?
The three teams still leading in the standings are just as surprising as ever: The Colts, New England Patriots and Denver Broncos. The Patriots and Broncos squeaked out wins on Sunday, while the Colts took their second loss. Indianapolis and Denver are two of Week 10’s biggest favorites, with Indy favored by 6.5 points over the Atlanta Falcons and Denver favored by 9.5 points over the Las Vegas Raiders.
But New England has a much tougher test on the road against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Bucs are 2.5-point favorites.
The other biggest favorites of the week are the Bills -8.5 at the Miami Dolphins, the Seattle Seahawks -7 vs. the Arizona Cardinals and the Lions -7.5 at the Washington Commanders. Two of those are divisional matchups: Could they be trap games for the Lions and Seahawks?
Speaking of divisional matchups, the NFC West could finally get a shakeup with each team in a divisional game. In addition to the Seahawks being favored over the Cardinals, the Los Angeles Rams are favored over the San Francisco 49ers.
A lot of games are close this week. Matchups of a field goal (3 points) or closer are:
- Jaguars at Texans (-1.5)
- Browns at Jets (-1.5)
- Patriots at Bucs (-2.5)
- Steelers at Chargers (-3)
- Eagles at Packers (-2.5)
The highest totals go to Bills at Dolphins (50.5) and Lions at Commanders (50.5), while the lowest goes to Browns at Jets (37.5). That’s the first time this season that an overseas game didn’t clock the lowest total.
Here are all the odds, game times and networks for NFL Week 10.
