The City of Dallas and Visit Dallas have announced the launch of a new citywide campaign, Spend It in Dallas, which will officially begin on November 27, 2025. The initiative is designed to encourage residents, visitors, and businesses to invest in Dallas by spending their time, experiences, and dollars locally. The campaign comes at a pivotal moment as the city continues to expand its economic engine, support neighborhood business ecosystems, and foster inclusive growth.
“Our city thrives when we choose to invest in each other,” said Kimberly Bizor Tolbert, Dallas City Manager. “With Spend It in Dallas, we are inviting everyone, whether you live here, work here, or visit here, to spend here, and help build a stronger, more resilient economy one purchase, one meal, one experience at a time.” The campaign highlights the importance of shopping, dining, playing, and staying locally to generate more robust neighborhood economies, create jobs, and increase sales tax revenue that supports city services and overall quality of life.
Dallas boasts a dynamic array of local businesses, restaurants, entertainment venues, and cultural offerings. By promoting local spending, the campaign aims to channel the city’s energy and growth into every corner of the community, from Downtown and Uptown to Oak Cliff, East Dallas, Deep Ellum, and South Dallas. Tourism and visitor spending already generate billions of dollars annually, supporting thousands of jobs and citywide benefits, and Spend It in Dallas expands that focus to include all local spending as an investment in the city’s future.
“Creating a positive local economic impact is at the heart of everything we do,” said Craig Davis, President and CEO of Visit Dallas. “When our neighborhoods are vibrant and our residents thrive, visitors have an even better experience — they stay longer, spend more, and share their love for Dallas with family and friends.” The campaign emphasizes the role of every purchase in building a more resilient local economy and celebrates the people, businesses, and cultural experiences that make Dallas unique.
The campaign is being launched in collaboration with the City of Dallas, Visit Dallas, Downtown Dallas Inc., Uptown Dallas Inc., and creative agencies. A multi-platform rollout will include digital, social, outdoor, streaming, and neighborhood-targeted assets. Creative content will spotlight everyday Dallas experiences, local business owners, and the vibrant culture of the city. Messaging is tailored to encourage spending across all neighborhoods, ensuring a citywide economic impact.
