KENTUCKY (WKYT) – A chance to celebrate culture, a festival of jazz, and you can learn about the rich history of bourbon in the bluegrass.

Here’s a look at what’s going on in the Weekend Roundup.

Latin American art and culture will be celebrated this weekend at the 23rd annual Festival Latino de Lexington!

Downtown Lexington will be filled with live music, dance, visual arts, and authentic cuisine from across Latin America.

The event is presented by Lexington Parks and Recreation and the Foundation for Latin American and Latino Culture and Arts.

Saturday’s festivities are from 4 to 11 p.m. at the Robert F. Stephens Courthouse Plaza.

The Equinox Jazz Festival continues this weekend with all kinds of electrifying performers.

As part of the City of Lexington’s 250th anniversary year, the festival honors the city’s deep jazz history while promoting jazz literacy.

Some of Saturday and Sunday’s performers include NEA Jazz Master Kenny Garrett, Nate Smith and Kandace Springs.

You can see them and more at the Kentucky Theatre.

Show times and tickets can be found online.

You can celebrate National Bourbon Heritage Month at the Kentucky History Center!

The Bourbon Experience highlight tour is a new part of the Kentucky Historical Society’s “A Kentucky Journey” exhibit.

You will be able to learn about the people, places, and politics behind Kentucky’s bourbon industry from museum educators.

There’s no registration needed for the tour and it’s free with the price of general admission.

Saturday’s tour begins at 3 p.m.

If you have an event coming up that you would like highlighted, you can email Destiny at Destiny.Quinn@wkyt.com.
