However, despite his dominance, he still doesn’t qualify as the greatest, according to many including the UFC CEO. Dana White in a recent interview claimed that the Dagestani didn’t stay long enough to prove his greatness. His long-time friend Daniel Cormier also mentioned how Islam Makhachev has better striking, which makes him better than what ‘The Eagle’ was in his prime. But coach Javier Mendez absolutely denies this idea.
