From Medicine Park to Hochatown: Underrated experiences in Oklahoma

Oklahoma is home to various historical sites and experiences that often go overlooked when visiting the state. Here a few gems to discover in Oklahoma

The first Andretti Indoor Karting & Games location in Oklahoma has a variety of employment positions available, including line cooks, bartenders, game technicians, track marshals and go-kart mechanics.

The 84,000-square-foot “next-level entertainment” center is expected to open July 15 at 8300 Broadway Extension. And with that opening comes 270 potential job opportunities, according to a news release.

The gaming facility will include a multi-level track for electric super karts, a state-of-the-art arcade with over 100 different gaming options, a two-story laser tag arena, virtual reality attractions, along with professional racing simulators, minigolf, Spark Interactive Duckpin Bowling and a 7D Xperience Motion Theater.

Andretti Indoor Karting & Games will join the likes of Chicken N Pickle and Flix Brewhouse within The Half mixed-use development at NE 83rd Street and Broadway Extension.

Its beginnings

Andretti Indoor Karting & Games was founded in 2001 in Orlando, Florida, by former racing champion turned businessman Mario Andretti and his family.

Oklahoma will hold the 11th Andretti go-karting location in the nation. Other existing locations are in Florida, Texas, Arizona and Georgia.

“We’re thrilled to be opening our first location in beautiful Oklahoma City, and excited to provide our new neighbors with the opportunity to receive industry-leading wages, benefits, and opportunities,” said Eddie Hamann, managing member of Andretti Indoor Karting & Games.

How to apply

The Andretti Indoor Karting & Games onsite job fair continues from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

Applicants must bring a valid ID and be at least 18 or older to apply. Full-time team members’ benefits will include health insurance, paid vacation and a 401(k) plan.
