The collision repair technology program at Arkansas Tech University-Ozark Campus continues to meet the requirements for accreditation following a review by the Automotive Service Excellence Education Foundation.

“We commend you and your staff for maintaining your program’s standards and continuing to meet the industry’s requirements,” wrote Michael Coley, Automotive Service Excellence Education Foundation president, in a letter notifying ATU-Ozark of the continued accreditation. “The explosion in collision technology makes your high-quality collision repair and refinish training program more valuable than ever.”

The ATU-Ozark collision repair technology program helps students become skilled in frame alignment, dent removal, replacing damaged parts, color matching, painting and basic principles of airbrushing. The program also includes instruction in solvent-based paints and in the implementation of green technology with water-borne paints.

“It’s a proud moment for me, as the collision repair technology program chair, to receive this accreditation once again,” said Kenneth Floyd, ATU-Ozark faculty member. “With it, we’re able to provide students with up-to-date ASE training that helps open doors to higher-end shops and puts them on a path to long-term success. Maintaining this accreditation takes a lot of hard work, and I want to thank our administration as well. This recognition is truly a team effort. I’m proud to be part of an institution that genuinely cares about the quality of its programs and the future of its students.”
