Balerion Space Ventures is the latest company to set up shop at Crow Holdings’ Old Parkland campus in Dallas.

The space-focused venture capital firm established a headquarters at the prestigious office complex, the Dallas Business Journal reported. The firm’s office will be at Reagan Place, at 3963 Maple Avenue, along the Dallas North Tollway.

Balerion, which invests in space exploration, defense tech and “deep tech,” announced the move in tandem with news that it’s about to close a $200 million fund and has hired Beau Spradling as chief financial officer. Spradling comes from Dallas-based Canyon Partners, where he was director of accounting for Canyon’s real estate division.

Founded in 2021, Balerion invests in companies like Valar Atomics, a Hawthorne, California-based company that scales nuclear energy for heavy industrial use and hydrocarbon fuel production.

Old Parkland, the Jeffersonian-style enclave in Uptown Dallas, is home to some of North Texas’ wealthiest family offices, law firms, private equity shops and foundations. Former President George W. Bush maintains an office at the property. Perot Jain, the venture capital arm of Ross Perot Jr.’s Hillwood, announced plans to move to the campus earlier this year.

The iconic office campus has also become a center of activity for Y’all Street, thanks in part to its proximity to upcoming build-to-suit developments for Bank of America and Goldman Sachs. The New York Stock Exchange’s Texas outpost leased 28,000 square feet at the campus in 2025.

Though Old Parkland is known for its exclusivity, the iconic campus is the process of expanding its office offerings. Crow Holdings is embarking on a second phase for Old Parkland East. The expansion will add roughly 250,000 square feet across three low-rise office buildings on a 2.5-acre site, with completion targeted for early 2029. The move follows the near full lease-up of the first phase.
