Brett Kinman has announced his resignation as chief executive officer of Magnolia Regional Medical Center, the hospital said in a statement Tuesday, April 15, 2025.
Kinman joined MRMC in 2022, bringing over 25 years of healthcare management experience to Magnolia. He led Magnolia Regional through post-COVID operations and has helped to navigate the facility through challenges currently facing healthcare in rural America.
“The MRMC Board of Directors would like to thank Mr. Kinman for his service to Magnolia Regional,” said Dr. John Alexander, chairman of the board. “We wish him the best of luck as he advances to the next chapter in his career.”
Kinman will continue to work in full capacity as CEO until his departure on July 9, 2025. The Board of Directors will develop a committee to execute a search for the next Chief Executive Officer.
The MRMC board announced Kinman’s appointment on April 14, 2022. Kinman succeeded Rex Jones, who became CEO of the Arkansas Rural Health Partnership.
Prior to become MRMC CEO, Kinman served as administrator of Christus-Good Shepherd Medical Center in Marshall, TX, and Christus-St. Michael Hospital in Atlanta, TX. His past experience also included leadership positions at Forrest City Medical Center in Forrest City, and Harris Hospital in Newport.
Kinman was born and raised in San Antonio. He is a biomedical science graduate of Texas A&M University. He obtained his master’s degree in healthcare administration from Trinity University in San Antonio.
