Cape Fear Latinos Festival returns to Wilmington, NC

What is the festival?

What’s happening?

The festival will feature the local Latino community showcasing their traditions.

Parade: A small parade will begin at 1:30 p.m. Meet at 12:30 p.m. in the parking lot of the Schwartz Center, 610 N. Front St.

Live music: Performances by local and regional Latino artists, a variety of music such as salsa, Latin pop, merengue, bands, solo artists and groups.

Dance performances: Traditional and contemporary from various Latin American countries, salsa, folkloric dances and many more.

Authentic food: Vendors will showcase a variety of delicious Latino cuisine from different Latin American countries. Visitors can taste dishes such as ceviche, empanadas, paella, tacos and many more flavors.

Art and crafts: Local artisans and vendors will display and sell handcrafted artwork inspired by the Latino culture ― jewelry, pottery, paintings and textiles.

Family activities: Face painting, arts and crafts stations, games, and interactive workshops highlights the aspects of the Latino culture.

Where to park?

There will be no special place to park downtown. People can park at metered street parking spaces or use the paid parking decks.
