Christians Engaged, a Christian educational foundation, has announced a three-year strategic voter mobilization partnership with the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference (NHCLC), one of the nation’s largest Hispanic Christian networks. The partnership, led by Christians Engaged founder Bunni Pounds and NHCLC president Rev. Samuel Rodriguez, aims to bridge language and cultural gaps while empowering Hispanic believers to pray, vote, and engage in their communities as the 2026 primaries and general election approach.

Why it matters

Recent research indicates that Hispanics account for nearly 50% of the growth in eligible U.S. voters in recent years and are significantly younger than the broader electorate, yet voter turnout remains comparatively low. This partnership seeks to address this gap by equipping and mobilizing Hispanic Christians to participate in the democratic process.

The details

The partnership will include the launch of a Spanish-language website, Cristianosinvolucrados.org, and the provision of Spanish-language voter education materials such as a Biblical Roadmap to the Party Platforms and school board election guides. Christians Engaged will also work to recruit Spanish-speaking Christians in all 50 states into its national Get Out The Vote (GOTV) database.

  • In February 2026, Christians Engaged expanded its Hispanic and Latino outreach initiatives.
  • In December, Christians Engaged surpassed a major milestone of engaging more than one million Americans across all 50 states through its voter mobilization system.

What they’re saying

“Together, we are building an outreach that will be unmatched. We recognize the significant and growing number of Spanish-speaking Christians in the United States and globally. This is a strategic moment to disciple and equip Hispanic believers for faithful civic participation.”

— Bunni Pounds, Founder and President, Christians Engaged (christiannewswire.com)

“We are living in a defining moment for our nation. This partnership reflects our shared commitment to strengthening families, empowering churches, and renewing communities by equipping Hispanic Christians to step up and step forward with clarity and conviction. Our voices matter. Civic engagement is not separate from our faith; it is an extension of faithful stewardship and responsible citizenship.”

— Rev. Samuel Rodriguez, President, National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference (christiannewswire.com)

The takeaway

This partnership between Christians Engaged and the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference represents a strategic effort to increase civic engagement and voter participation among Hispanic Christians, a rapidly growing segment of the electorate. By bridging language and cultural barriers, the organizations aim to empower this community to exercise their right and responsibility as citizens to shape the future of the nation.
