PASADENA, Calif.— The City of Pasadena Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Department (PRCS) and the Pasadena Latino Heritage Committee are proud to announce the theme for the 2025 Latino Heritage Festival, “Un Pasado con Orgullo, un Futuro con Esperanza” (A Proud Past, a Hopeful Future).

This year’s theme highlights a proud and resilient Latino community that continues to grow, thrive, and honor its roots while contributing to the broader tapestry of our city and country. It reminds us that our stories, our culture, and our unity are the foundation of a future filled with limitless possibilities.

After thoughtful consideration, the Committee has decided not to hold a parade this year, given the current issues impacting our beloved community. However, we will be moving forward with the festival, providing a much-needed opportunity to celebrate our culture and community.

This year’s festival will take place on Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 5 to 9 p.m. in Centennial Square in front of Pasadena City Hall (100 N. Garfield Ave.). The festival will include:

  • Live Entertainment: Enjoy a high-energy lineup of live music and dance performances representing the rich diversity of Latin America.
  • Children’s Activities: Featuring family-friendly cultural arts and crafts, bounce houses, and games for kids.
  • Food Vendors: Sample and savor traditional Latin American cuisine available for purchase from a variety of local food vendors.
  • Community Resource Booths: Connect with local organizations offering information, services, and support to families and individuals.
  • Artisan Marketplace: Explore booths featuring handmade crafts, art, jewelry, and cultural items from local artisans.

“The Pasadena Latino Heritage Festival is about more than music, food, and dance; it’s about who we are as a community”, said Pasadena Mayor Victor M. Gordo. He further shared, “This year’s theme, ‘Un Pasado con Orgullo, un Futuro con Esperanza’, speaks to a truth we all share; that by honoring our past, and the generations who came before us, we lay the foundation for a future filled with hope. Pasadena is stronger, more vibrant, and more united because of the contributions of our Latino community, and I couldn’t be prouder to celebrate that together.”

“We are proud to partner with the Pasadena Latino Heritage Parade & Festival Committee to bring this year’s festival to life in Centennial Square. While the format may look a little different this year, the spirit of celebration remains stronger than ever. This festival is an opportunity for families and neighbors to come together, enjoy music, food, art, and culture, and uplift the stories that enrich our city’s identity,” said Koko Panossian, Director of Pasadena’s Parks, Recreation & Community Services Department.

Interested vendors are encouraged to submit applications now. For vendor applications and more information about the festival, please visit PasadenaLatinoHeritageParade.org

In addition to the festival, a full calendar of events celebrating Latino Heritage Month will take place from September 15 through October 24, 2025, featuring concha making, a Day of the Dead Celebration, and much more. For the most up-to-date information, please visit PasadenaLatinoHeritageParade.org

Let us come together to celebrate culture, community, and flavor, honoring Latino heritage and embracing the rich diversity that makes Pasadena strong. ¡Nos vemos en el festival!
