EXCLUSIVE: The Motion Picture Television Fund has almost doubled its board of governors, adding 10 to the roster at the entertainment industry nonprofit, Deadline has learned.

The new names: actors Ike Barinholtz, Yvette Nicole Brown and Colin Farrell, actor-producer and entrepreneur Christine Chiu, ID PR founder Kelly Bush Novak, CAA motion picture agent Maha Dakhil, former L’Oreal USA group president Carol Hamilton, filmmaker McG, managing partner of business services firm NKSFB Mickey Segal, and Amazon MGM Studios’ Head of Film, Streaming and Theatrical Courtenay Valenti.

They join the current 12 board members JJ Abrams, Byron Allen, Betsy Beers, Greg Berlanti, Channing Dungey, Eric Esrailian, Tony Goldwyn, Curtis Jackson, Kevin McCormick, Christopher Nolan, Ann Sarnoff and Lauren Shuler Donner.

“I’m thrilled to welcome these accomplished new members of MPTF’s board of governors,” said Courteney Bailey, the MPTF’s Chief Development Officer. “Their participation is vital. When industry leaders step forward with their voices, their influence, and their passion, it strengthens our ability to serve the entertainment community. Together, we ensure that MPTF can continue its legacy of care and support for generations to come.”

The MPTF, the longtime organization that supports working and retired members of the entertainment community with health and social services, discusses potential board of governors candidates internally and presents them to the board of directors for consideration. That board ultimately decides which candidates they’d like to invite to join.

There are no term limits for the MPTF’s board of governors, a body that supports the organization’s strategic fundraising, advocacy and community engagement initiatives.

“I have been blessed to be a part of the MPTF family since I took my very first tour of the campus over 15 years ago,” said Brown, a staple co-host of the MPTF’s annual year-end Lights, Camera, Take Action! telethon. “MPTF does so much good for so many. Joining the Board of Governors is one of my greatest joys.”
