If you’re reading this, you made it. It’s the last Saturday of the summer without college football on TV. And even though South Carolina doesn’t play in seven days, there are enough games teed up as an appetizer to Gamecock football.

TCU and UNC get the party started at noon on Aug. 29. It still doesn’t feel real though. If you’re millennial, Gen-X or boomer, then you probably still think that college football should start on a Thursday night.
Those damn kids with their freakin’ TikTok will probably never get it, but there’s hope. We have one of them on our side and her name is Juliette Nichols. Just kidding, it’s Jordon Hudson. She’ll definitely help us bridge this generational gap. Her boyfriend’s a boomer, so he definitely gets how college football is supposed to be.
