Conor McGregor ‘cooked,’ should face me in WWE match

Logan Paul suggests Conor McGregor make the transition to WWE.

Former dual-champion McGregor (22-7 MMA, 10-5 UFC) tore his right ACL and meniscus just 69 seconds into his comeback fight against Max Holloway in the UFC 329 headliner less than two weeks ago.

Paul thinks McGregor sold his return fight well to the fans, but after five years off and a gruesome leg break in July 2021, he never saw him getting his hand raised.

“At the moment, Conor is doing WWE because he is incapable of fighting,” Paul said on his IMPAULSIVE podcast. “By the way, also appreciate what Conor McGregor did to the sport, UFC, crossover boxing, and MMA. He pioneered in a lot of ways, but he has a lot of people fooled, and he fooled everyone before this fight, just like Mike Tyson fooled everyone before he fought my brother.

“I went, ‘Bro, there’s no way, age matters.’ Also, five years off for Conor, and not just five years off. This wasn’t a Jon Jones five years off. The stuff he was doing in the five years was not conducive to that of an elite fighter. … I threw a lot of money on Max, and I was disappointed because I know everyone wanted to see something. But to me, if he comes back and has a similar performance, it’s just really bad.”

Although McGregor has every intention of fighting again and completing the final bout on his UFC contract, Paul reached out to the WWE brass to pitch a match against McGregor, who fits the mold of a WWE superstar.

“I don’t think the WWE will let me fight anyone,” Paul said. “I’ll be honest with you: I texted my boss after Conor lost. I was like, ‘Bro, Conor’s cooked.’ Like, ‘Do something with him. Make a bag. Let me fight him. Big WWE star vs. big WWE star, because that’s what he is now.'”
