The global cruise industry is set to convene for the Seatrade Global 2024 event, which will take place from April 8 to 11 in Miami. Representing the industry, a delegation comprising eleven service providers, including key stakeholders from Hamburg, will participate to showcase the significance of the Port of Hamburg in the cruise sector. This participation is particularly noteworthy following a record-breaking year that saw the arrival of 1 million cruise passengers in Hamburg.
Christine Beine, the Managing Director of Hamburg Cruise Net e.V., has emphasized the importance of this event for its members. It provides a unique platform under the Hamburg umbrella brand for member companies to exhibit their offerings. The event, known as the world’s largest gathering in the cruise industry, is anticipated to draw more than 10,000 visitors and over 600 exhibitors from around 120 nations. The objective is to position Hamburg as a desirable German destination in the U.S. market and to connect with over 80 leading cruise lines.
In addition to the primary exhibitors, other representatives from the Hamburg cruise industry will also be present. The H.C. Röver Maritime Agency, the Marine Training Center (MTC) Hamburg, and the port operating company, Sartori & Berger, are set to introduce their businesses at the event. The collective aim is to portray the city of Hamburg as welcoming, communicative, sustainable, and youthful. Their presence at the joint 46-square meter stand in the “German Pavilion” is aimed at emphasizing these attributes.
