Reflecting on the late 1990s, when he and his peers faced financial challenges as opening matches in WWE, Johnson recalled pondering over the lucrative opportunities in MMA. “Those guys are making a lot of money,” he noted, indicating that the potential earnings in UFC during that time were tempting.
Despite the thoughts of what could have been, Johnson recognized that MMA presented its own challenges. “MMA is a whole different beast,” he said, emphasizing the intense nature of the sport.
