ATLANTA – Former Rider University men’s basketball guard Dwight Murray Jr. ’23 has signed an Exhibit 10 contract with his hometown Atlanta Hawks. The contract ensures an invitation to preseason camp with the team.
After a standout collegiate career, during which time Murray earned All-MAAC hours twice in his final three years at Rider, the Austell, GA, native played the 2023-24 season in Montenegro for KK Mornar. He returned stateside to play for the College Park Skyhawks, the Hawks’ G League team, in 2024-25, averaging 9.0 points, 5.1 assists and 3.8 rebounds in 23.9 minutes per game last season. This summer, he averaged 4.3 points per game in three games for the Hawks’ NBA Summer League team.
