Submitted by the Economic Development Council.

The Economic Development Council invites business owners to a free online EDC Business Lab event titled “Commercial Real Estate Financing” on Wednesday, Nov. 13, from noon-1 p.m., led by Tim Northrop, senior vice president, commercial banking officer at Heritage Bank via Zoom. Any small business owner who is looking to finance their business can attend this free workshop for an overview of commercial real estate financing. Pre-registration is required.

In this workshop, the four basic programs that Heritage Bank and other local banks have to offer will be covered: Conventional Loan Structure, SBA504 Loans, Heritage Bank Community Development Entity Loan Program and the Washington State Small Business Credit Initiative Loan Program.

Northrop has been with Heritage Bank since 2000, and was previously a consultant at the Washington State Small Business Development Center. He has served as a branch manager and commercial banking team leader in the Skagit and Whatcom county markets. Currently, Northrop’s focus is 100% on small business lending, and his customers seek his expertise in small business banking and residential spec construction. He’s also enthusiastic about supporting his community. He is a member of the Bellingham Sunrise Rotary and serves on the board and treasurer of Whatcom Skagit Housing.

Contact EDC to register at https://sanjuansedc.org/bizlabs. For questions, please call 360-378-2906 or email info@sanjuansedc.org.

The San Juan County Economic Development Council strives to support small rural enterprises and conduct projects to stimulate new job creation, strengthen the economic base for working families and support overall quality of life for islanders.
