Former Denver Broncos wide receiver Tim Patrick has agreed to terms with the New York Jets on a one-year deal worth approximately $1.5 million, per Rich Cimini of ESPN.

Patrick, 32, spent last season with the Jacksonville Jaguars, appearing in 16 games. The former Utah Ute caught 15 passes for 187 yards and three touchdowns. With Jacksonville making the playoffs, Patrick appeared in his second career postseason game but was targeted just once and did not record a reception. The Jaguars fell to the Buffalo Bills, 27-24.

Patrick returned to the field in 2024 after suffering back-to-back season-ending injuries while with the Broncos — a torn ACL in 2022 and a torn Achilles in 2023. He signed with the Detroit Lions, who went 15-2 in the regular season before losing in the divisional round of the playoffs. In his comeback season, Patrick caught 33 passes for 394 yards and three touchdowns across 16 games.

Patrick went undrafted in 2017 and eventually landed with the Broncos, where he worked his way into becoming one of the team’s most reliable receivers. In 55 games with Denver, Patrick hauled in 143 passes for 2,009 yards and 12 touchdowns. In his final two healthy seasons with the Broncos (2020–21), he recorded 104 receptions for 1,476 yards and 11 touchdowns, topping 700 receiving yards in each campaign.

In New York, Patrick joins a wide receiver room led by Garrett Wilson and featuring first-round pick Omar Cooper Jr. and Adonai Mitchell. His familiarity with Jets general manager Darren Mougey, who was a Broncos executive during Patrick’s time in Denver, and head coach Aaron Glenn, who coached him in Detroit, likely played a role in the signing.

The Jets are building around quarterback Geno Smith heading into 2026, and Patrick brings veteran presence and inside-outside versatility to an otherwise young group. There’s also a chance that Patrick can re-unite with Russell Wilson after spending one year with him in Denver. Wilson recently visited the Jets.
