SPOKANE, Wash. — The Gonzaga Bulldogs and head coach Mark Few have nearly completed their roster for the 2026-27 season, adding another player from the transfer portal Wednesday.
According to a report from 247Sports, Gonzaga landed a commitment from Saint Francis transfer Skylar Wicks.
Wicks, the 6-foot-6, 190-pound senior guard/wing, was the Red Wolves’ leading scorer and rebounder last season, averaging 17.8 points and 6.7 rebounds in 28 games, all of which he started.
The Jersey City, New Jersey, native also averaged 33.2 minutes, 2.8 assists, 1.4 steals, 0.3 blocks and 2.7 turnovers while shooting 41% from the field and 36.3% from 3-point range.
Despite his efforts, Saint Francis went 5-13 in Northeast Conference play and finished 7-24 overall.
Gonzaga would be Wicks’ sixth school in seven years. He previously spent time at UTSA, Incarnate Word, State College of Florida (JUCO) and Missouri State.
Wicks began his career at Missouri State in 2020-21, playing in six games that season before spending the next year as a redshirt for the Bears. He then transferred to the junior college level for the 2022-23 season, played at Incarnate Word in 2023-24, transferred to UTSA in 2024-25 and suited up for Saint Francis last season.
The 26-year-old has played in 74 Division I games and averaged 12.9 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.9 assists throughout his career.
To suit up for the Zags in 2026-27, Wicks would need an NCAA waiver, which he is in the process of seeking.
