Rochester, N.Y. — With students gearing up for a new school year, the Great New York State Flea will bring a back-to-school, community-focused market to the City of Rochester Public Market from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, August 9.
Organizers say the event will celebrate youth, creativity and the excitement of the new school year.
Shoppers can browse a wide range of vendors offering new and used clothing, tools, toys, home décor, sporting goods, collectibles, art, antiques and more.
“We have elderly, we have children, we have dogs, I might’ve seen a cat in a bag, but there’s also everything in between,” said Marcel McCollough, a board member of the Greater New York State Flea. “It’s just a great community event.”
Two additional themed Sunday fleas are scheduled after the August event: College Day from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 13, and Halloween from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 11.
